The short version: we connect you with independent providers, and your agreement for the work itself is with them.

What this service is

Sound Tree Connect is a referral platform and does not directly provide tree-service work. Service providers are independent businesses. Homeowners should independently evaluate any provider before hiring.

No endorsement or guarantee

Sound Tree Connect does not vet, verify, certify, license-check, or background-check providers. We make no guarantee about a provider's licensing, insurance, credentials, workmanship, pricing, scheduling, or responsiveness. Verify credentials and insurance yourself before hiring anyone.

Your agreement is with the provider

Any contract, price, scope, warranty, or dispute arising from tree work is strictly between you and the provider you hire. We are not a party to it and cannot resolve billing disputes, damage claims, or warranty issues.

Submitting a request

  • Provide accurate information, and only submit requests for property you own or are authorized to act for.
  • By submitting, you ask us to share your request with providers and consent to being contacted about it.
  • Submitting a request does not create a commitment to hire anyone, and does not guarantee that any provider will respond.
  • Do not upload photos you do not have the right to share.

Guides on this site are general information, not arboricultural, engineering, legal, or insurance advice. Tree work is hazardous. Permit rules, city requirements, and insurance coverage vary and change — confirm them with the relevant authority or your carrier.

Emergencies

We do not operate an emergency line. For injuries, fire risk, or downed power lines, call 911 and your utility.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sound Tree Connect is not liable for any loss, injury, property damage, or expense arising from work performed by a provider, from your use of this site, or from reliance on information published here.

Acceptable use

Do not submit false requests, scrape the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
