How it works

One request, shared with local tree pros

We are a lead-referral service, not a tree company. Here is the whole process, including the parts most referral sites leave vague.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your project

Answer a few questions about your tree-service needs. It takes about a minute, and photos are welcome.

  2. 2

    Get connected

Your request can be shared with independent tree-service professionals serving your area.

  3. 3

    Discuss your options

Speak directly with service providers about availability, recommendations, scope and pricing.

Plain terms

What we do — and what we don't

What we do

  • Collect your project details in one short form.
  • Store your request securely so it can be shared with providers.
  • Focus on the North Puget Sound communities we list.
  • Publish guides that help you ask better questions.
  • Tell you plainly that we are compensated for referrals.

What we don't do

  • Perform tree work, or employ crews or climbers.
  • Set, negotiate, or guarantee pricing.
  • Vet, verify, license-check, or background-check providers.
  • Supervise the work, or handle warranty and damage claims.
  • Guarantee a response, a timeline, or the number of quotes.

Before you hire

Do your own diligence on any provider

  • Ask for proof of general liability insurance and workers' compensation, and verify it with the insurer.
  • Confirm the business is licensed and registered to operate in Washington.
  • Get the full scope in writing before work begins.
  • Ask who is responsible if property is damaged.
  • Read recent reviews, and ask for local references.

Sound Tree Connect is a referral platform and does not directly provide tree-service work. Service providers are independent businesses. Homeowners should independently evaluate any provider before hiring.
